Romell's passion for photography began in childhood while taking family pictures alongside his Uncle Clifford, memories that continue to inspire his creative journey today. Years later, his wife Lisa recognized and encouraged his talent by enrolling him in photography classes and helping him build his camera and lens collection. Her support became an important part of the foundation that helped shape his artistry.

Photographing their two sons, Brendon and Chris, during track, cross country, and lacrosse events sparked years of practice behind the lens. In 2012, that passion officially evolved into Romell Ashby Photography.

Over the years, photography has become more than a creative pursuit-it has become a shared journey. While Romell captures the artistic vision behind the camera, Lisa has long been a supportive presence behind the scenes, helping clients feel comfortable and connected during sessions while contributing to the day-to-day operations of the business.

Together, they believe photography is about more than creating beautiful images. It is about connection, emotion, and preserving life's meaningful moments. Romell draws inspiration from color, shape, and visual storytelling while striving for simplicity, balance, authenticity, and natural skin tones in every photograph.
